APPOINTING MR. JOHN PARKER AS MEMBER OF THE BOARD
CF EDUCATION.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to the provisions
of Article X of the Charter of the City of Alameda, and upon nomination of the Mayor,
Mr. John Parker is hereby appointed to the office of member of the Board of Education,
for a term expiring April 30, 1942, to fill the unexpired term of Kenneth C. Smith,
resigned, and to serve until his successor is appointed and qualified.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 2nd day of May, 1939, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weich-
hart, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
