APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE
OF 1/4 CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF MAJOR
IITORTANCE OTHER THAN STATE HIGHWAYS AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of Public Works,
Division of Highways, has presented a Memorandum of Agreement to be entered into with
the State of California in accordance with e project statement submitted by the City
of Alameda for expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas tax for the fiscal year 1940 allocated
for Streets of Major Importance other than State Highways in the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has heard read said agreement
in full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said
project statement be, and it is hereby, adopted as the budget of proposed. expenditures
of the 1/4 cent gas tax allocated for Streets of Major Importance other than State High-
ways in the City of Alameda, and that said agreement be, and it is hereby, approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of the City of Alameda,
said agreement to be binding upon the City upon. i s execution by the authorized officials
of the State.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that Inc foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned
regular meeting assembled on the bth day of June, 1939, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Godfrey, (1).
