ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING LUMBER TO THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE SAME.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY ALAN,EDA that the Specifications
and Provisions for furnishing Lumber to the City of Alameda, No. NO 6-399, filed in
the office or the City Clerk on June 8, 1939, be, and the same are hereby, approved
and adopted.
RESOLVED FUNTEEP. that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed
bids up to the hour of 8:15 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 20th day of Tune, 1939, for
the furnishing to the City of Lumber, in accordance with said Specifications and Pro-
visions. Bids must te presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda, Cali-
fornia, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for Lumber".
Contract, if awarded will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
charter of said city, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and be bid.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star,
a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions or this resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned
regular meeting assembled on the Bth day of June, 1939, by the following vote to wit:
AYES; Councilmen Carrington, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Godfrey, (1).
