CALLING FOR EIDS FOR LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR THE FISCAL Fr 1939-1940
RESOLVED BY ThE COUNCIL OF THE GITY OF ALA_MEDA that said Council
will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 3:15 o'clock p. m. en Wednesday,
the 5th day of July, 1959, for the publication of all legal advertising of
saId City for and during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1940.
Such advertising must be published in a newspaper of genera
circulation published in the City uf Alameda for a Period cf not less than
one year immediately sreceding the making of such bid and having a bona
fide said circulation uf at least 1,000 copies.
Said advertising shall be in accordance with the following
specifications:
1. All advertisements shall be set in solid six-point (nonpareil)
type, except that such advertisements may, by request of the office authoriz-
ing the samo, be set in ihrger type.
2. Titles and sub-headings shall he set in six-point capitals
(nonpareil) black-face type, or in mu ch larger type as may be suecified by
the office authorizing the advertisement.
Bidders shall state in their proposals the price per square of 234
ems nonpareil measurement, for the first insertion and for each subsequent
insertion for doing said advertising.
Nids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City loll, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Pronosal For
Legal Advertising".
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of
Inc. charter cif said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids
The newspaper published by the successful bidder shall be designated
as the official newspaper cf the City.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, id the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with. the provisions of
this resolution.
