PROVIDING FOR THE AMOUNT PER DIEM FOR OFFICERS AND
EMPLOYEES OF TIE CITY oF ALAMEDA FOR TRAVELING harENsEq
VilTEREAS, section 22-7 of the Charter of the City of Alameda requires
that the Council annually fix the per diem allowance for traveling expenses of
officers and employees of the City:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED RY TN1 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF -LAD
that whenever any officer or employee of the City shall, under the authority
of law and, except for routine duties, on authorization of the Council, leave
the City for the purpose of performing any official duty fax or an behalf of
the City, or for the purpose of renderinE any service to or for the City, or
for the purpose of officially representing said City or any commission or
department thereof, said officer or employee shall be allowed as the travel-
ing expenses incident to said service the actual cost of transportation,
including Pullman charges, together with a per diem allowance in an amount
not to exceed 'iJ0.00 per day for eanh and every day while said officer or
employee is absent on said official business.
FRE IT FURTHER REOLVED that demands for payment of per diem allow-
ance shall nct exceed the amount appropriated or authorized by the Chuncil.
Demands for traveling expenses shall be for expenditures actually incurred,
and shall be supported by a statement of the officer or employee presenting
sane showing the nature and amount of the items of expenditure forming the
basis thereof, and such vouchers or proof of expenditures as shall he required
ay the Council Ql! the Auditor.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this resolution shall be .0 effect for the
period of one year from the date of its adoption.
