RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF T22 CITY 01 A1 AEU5A that E. Goodell and
W. R. Henry, certified. public accountants, doing business under the firm. name
and style of Goodell o Henry, be, and they are hereby, appointed as accountants
for the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1959-1940, for the purpose of
Lnvestigating the transactions and auditing the books and. accounts of all
offices and officers of the City) in accordance with arid as more fully speci-
fied in Sections 3-7(c), 12-4(b), and 12-4(c) of the Charter 01 110 City of
Alameda.
RESOLVES 1U10 110 that the compensation of said Goodell 0 fiecry for
their services to be rendered to said City 0or1110 the fiscal year 1939-1940
in auditing the books and accounts of all the offices and officers of the City
as aforesaid be, and the sahib is hereby, fixed at the total sum of $2,550.00,
to be allocated as llows. (a) Fur the services 1 c u re 10i nvestigating
the transactions and auditing the accounts of the Public Utilities Board of
the City, $1,350.00; (b) Far all other services required under tha Charter of
the City) the 211M of $1,200.00. Said our 61-1311 be payable at the rate of
:$212.50 'per month during said fiscal yeaT.
In the event that the City should reqliZie special audits, or services
in addation to those specified in said Charter and in the contract hereinafter
referredoto, said accountants shall Le compensated therefor at the per diem
rate of $25,00.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the form of contract to be entered into by and
between said certified public accounting firm and the City of Alameda, sub-
mitted to tim Council and. filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda
this day, said the terms, agreements and provisions thereof be, and the same
are hereby, approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER that tha 'Mayor of trm City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to execute and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of
the City of Alameda, a contract in the holm and containing the covenants,
agreemonts aind provisions set forth in the aforesaid form of contract.
