ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF GAL-
VANIZED CHAIN LINK FENCE IN PUBLIC PAREB AND PLAY-
GROUNDS OF THE CITY CF ALAIMA, CALLING FOR BIDE AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE SAME.
RESOLVED BY IL COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Specifications
and Provisions for the construction of galvanized chain link fence in nublic
parks and playgrounds of the City of Alameda during the fiscal year ending June
30, 194.0, as particularly set forth in said Specifications and Provisions, No.
Pt! 2-401, filed in the office of the City Clerk on February 20, 1940, Le, and
the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the performance and comoletion of the work
specified in said specifications and plans be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED FURTHER that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 005 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March 5, 1940, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda cf all labor, material and equipment neces-
sary for the completion, in the public parks or playgrounds of the City during
the fiscal year ending June 0, 194C, of galvanized chain link fence in accord-
ance with said specifications and provisions and plans. Bids must be presented
to the City Clerk, in the City Ball, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover
and plainly marked on the outoide, "Proposal for Fence".
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of
the Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise in the Alamcds Times-
Star a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution, and of said Specifications and Provisions.

duly and regularly introduced and adonted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of February, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:

Weichhart, (2).
