ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FGR FURNISHING LUMBER TO THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE THE SAYE.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMED A that the Specifications
and Provisions for furnishing Lumber to the City of Alameda, No. MS 5-407, filed
in the office of the City Clerk on May 9, 1940, be, and the same are hereby ap-
proved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o?olock P. M. on Tuesday, May 21, 1940, for
the furnishing to the City of Lumber, in accordance with said Specifications and
Provisions, Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, Alameda,
California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal For
Lumber",
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times Ctar, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 8th day of May, 1940, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Carrington, (1).
