Resolution 02480RESOLUTION NO. 2480 ACCEPTING (QUITCLAIM DEED FROM THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO CORRECT ERROR IN DESCRIPTION OF DEED OF DECEMBER 2, 1930 FROM THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. , a certain indenture, dated April 5, 1940, made by and between the United States of America and the City of Alameda, a municipal corpbration, whereby the United States of America, acting by and through Lewis Compton, as Acting Secretary of the Navy, does release, remise and quitclaim to said City of Alameda, California, its successors in office, all right, title or interest what- soever that said United States of America may appear to have of record in or to certain. lands more particularly described in the dead from the City of Alameda, California, to the United States of America, dated December 2, 1930, and recorded in Liber 2588, Page 44, official records of Alameda County, California, in which deed of December 2, 1930 there appears an error in the description of the lands intended to be conveyed, said error being set forth in the aforementioned inden- ture of April 5, 1940, has been duly executed and delivered to the City of Alameda by thb United States of America; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESCLVED HY THE COUNCIL OF TIM CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforementioned indenture be, and the same is terety, accepted on behalf of the City of Alameda, and said City Council, acting for and in behalf of said City, hereby consents to the recordation of said indenture and orders this resolu- tion to be attached thereto, as required by Section 1158 of the Civil Code of the State of California. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of May, 1940, by the following vote, tc wit: (4). AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Morris and President Weichhart, NOES: None. ABSENT: Councilman Maurer, (1).
