AUTHORIZING RENEWAL AND EXTENSION OF CONTRACT WITH TUE
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA FOR THE EXAMINATION OF CONTACTS WITH
CASES GE TUBERCULOSIS.
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda and the City of Alameda have heretofore
entered into an agreement bearing date of October 17, 1939 wherein it was pro-
vided that for the consideration therein sttrulated the Health Officer of said
County, his deputies, assistants and clerks should examine, at the County Clinic,
contact with cases of tuberculosis in said City as a function relating to public
health; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that the aforesaid
agreement be extended and renewed for a period ending June 30, 1941; and
10IEREAS, a form of contract entitled "Renewal Agreement" and providing
for the renewal and extension of the aforesaid original agreement for a period
ending June 31, 1941 upon all of the terms and conditions contained in said
original agreement has been presented and submitted to this Council and filed
with the City Clerk at this meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that said Renewal Agreement be, and the same is hereby, approved, and the Mayor
of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to execute and the
City Clerk to attest, for and on behalf of said City of Alameda, an agreement
substantially in the form or the aforesaid Renewal Agreement.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled. on the 20th day of August, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilften Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President
Weienhart, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
