FIXING TEE RATE AND LEVYING A TAX ON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL
PROPERTY IN TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1940-
1941 AND APPORTIONING THE SFEE AMONG THE SEVERAL FUNDS OF
THE CiTY.
RESOLVED that the rate of city- taxes to be levied for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1940 and ending Juno 30, 19L1 upon all property assessed for
taxation Within the corporate limits al the City of Alameda on the basis of the
valuation thereof as ahown by the assessment roll in the orrice of the City
Assessor of said City be, and the same is hereby, fixed at one hundred and fifty-
eight cents (158(/) on each one hundred. dollars (4100) of assessed valuation of
said property; and
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a tax in tho total amount of One and 59/100
Dollars 01,58) be, and the same is hereby, fixed and levied on each and every
One Hundred Dollars (0100) of assessed valuation of all taxable property, real
and personal, within the corporate limits of said Oity, for the purpose of raic-
ing the necessary revenue for said City for the fiscal year 1940-1941; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said tax, and the moneys arising therefrom,
when collected, shall be, and the same are hereby, appropriated to and apportioned
among tae several funds, special purposes and bonded indebtedness of the City
hereinafter designated, in the proportion and amounts respectively set forth op-
posite each such designated fund, special purpose or indebtedness, as follows:

1131 IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a special assessment tax in the amount of
)h1.0281 be, and the same is hereby, levied on each aod. every one hundred dollars
(400.00) of assessed valuation of all lands situated within the boundaries of
the Acquisition and Improvement District No. 1 of the City of Alameda, created
pursuant to the provisions of the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of 1925", said
valuation to be on the basis of the valuation of said lands as shown by the
assessment roll for general municipal taxes of the City of Alameda for the fiscal
year 1940-1941. Said special assessment tax so levied and the monies arising
therefrom shall be, and the same are hereby, set aside and appropriated to the
"Acquisition and Improvement District ho. 1 of the City- of Alaaeda Interest and
Sinking Fund" for the paymeht of principal and interest which has become or will
become payable before the procaeda of another tax levy, made at the time of the
next general tax levy for general municipal purposes, can be made available for
the payment of aald principal and interest on bonds issued and outstanding under
the proceedings for said district.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a special assessment tax in the amount of
:r40.0183 be, and the same is hereby, levied on each and every one hundred dollars
(4100.00) of assessed valuation of all lands situated within the boundaries of
the Acquieition and Improvement District No. 2 of the City of Aladeda, created
pursuant to the aroviaions of the "Acquieition. and Improvement Act of 1925," said
valuation to be on thu basis of the valuation of bald lands as shown by the
assessment roll for general municipal taxes of the City of Alameda for the fiscal
Fear 1940-1941. Said special assessment tax so levied and the monies arising
therefrom shall be, and the same are hereby, set aside and appropriated. to the
"Acquisition and Improvement District 1)e. 2 of the City of Alameda Interest and
Sinking Fund" for the payment of principal and interest which has become or will
become payable before the proceeds of another tax levy, made at the time of the
next general tax levy for general municiaal purposes, can be made available for
the payment of said principal and interest or bonds issued end outstandinm under
the proceedings for said district.
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVE: that a special assessment tax in the amount of
0.0136 be, arid the same is hereby, levied an each and every one hundred dollars
(100.00) of asaessed valuation of all lands situated within the boundaries of
the Aaquisition and Improvement District No. 3 of the City of Alameda, created
pursuant to the previsions of the "Acquieition and. Improvement Act of 1925," said
valuation. to be on the basis of the valuation of said lands as shown by the
assessment roll for general municipal taxes of the City of Alameda for the fiscal
year 1940-1941. Said special assessment tax co levied and the monies arising
therefrom shall be, and the same are hereby, set aside and appropriated to the
"Acquisition and Improvement District Ea. 3 of the City of Alameda Interest and
Sinking Fund" for the payment of principal and interest which has became or will
become aayable before the proceeds of another tax levy, made at the time of the
next general tax levy for general municipal purposes, can be made available for
the payment of said principal and interest on bonds issue4 and outstanding under
the proceedings for said diatrict.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of September, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President
Weichhart, (5).
NOES: None,
