AIR, 2112, 10 AMEXD ITS PRESENT ROLIE TO INCLUDE
SAN DIEGO, EL CENHRO, PHOENIX, OKLAHOMA CITY, TULSA
AND JOPLIN. TO ITS TRANSCONTINENTAL SYSTE1M
4HE4EA3, Transcontinental Western Air, Inc., has filed an opolication
to add the cities of Sam Diego, El Centro, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and
Joplin to its transcontinental system; and
WHEREAS, the oddition.of these pities to the Transcontinental Western
Air route will satisfy a prebemt need for adequate air service to these cities;
and
WHEREAS, it is believed that the improved service which will result
from the granting of the application will greatly promote interchange of busi-
ness between the City of Alameda and the aforementioned cities; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED: that the City of Alameda endorses the aforementioned appli-
cation. of Tmanscontinental 13 Western. Air, Inc., and requests the Civil Aero-
nautics Beard tbat the necessary certifnate be granted.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alan:eel:7N
at regulnr meeting assembled 011 the 15th day of October, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Meurer, Mbrris and President
Weichhert, (5).
NOES: None.
