DESIGNATING CERTAIN LANDS DEDICATED FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES
AS "MAIN STREET".
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has acquired for public highway purposes
and. for the widening of Main Street that certain real property situated in the
City. of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, described. as follows:
The Eastern Forty (40) feet of Lots Twelve (12),
Thirteen (13), Fourteen (14), Fifteen (15), Sixteen
(16), Seventeen (17), Eighteen. (1.0) and Nineteen. (19),
in Block Seventeen (17); the Eastern Forty (40) feet
of Blocks Twenty-four (24) and. Twenty-nine (29); and
all that portion of Bork Thirty-six (36) which lies
easterly of a direct line drawn northerly from a point
on the northern line of Brush, formerly Manzmnita,
Street, distant thereon westerly 40.04 feet from the
western line of Main. Street, formerly Main Avenue, to
a point on the southern line of Maple, formerly Willow,
Street, distant thereon westerly 63.02 feet from said
line of Main Street, as said blocks, streets and. avenue
are shown on the "New Map of Woodstock" - filed May 8,
1875, in book 6 of Maps at page 10, in the office of
the County Recorder of Alameda County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY' THE COUNCIL OF Ti)) CITY' OF ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid parcels of land be, and the same are hereby, designated and.
shall hereafter be known as "Main Street".

1, the undersimned, hereby certify that the foregoitig Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council. of tha City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of December, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (1).
NOES: Nene.
ARGENT: Councilman Carrington, (1).
