WHEREAS, the State of California, through. its Department of Publib
Works, Division of Highways, has presented a. membrandum of agreement in accord-
anve with a project statement submitte1 . by the City far expenditure of the 144
cent gas tax for the fiscal year 1942 allhcated for streets of major importance
other than State hi:at:gays 1 the City of Alameda; and.
kHINMEAS, the City Council bas heard. read sai0 . agTeement in full and.. ih
famfliar with the contents thereof, and desires to approve thh same;
NOM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY GEE COUNCIL 1 THE CITY 0' ALAMEDA
that said agreement for expenditure of the 141 . cent gas tax allocated. for streets
of major importance other than. State highways be, and the same is hereby, approved,
and the Mayor and the City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of said
City, sald agreement to be binding upon the :City upon iLs ezecutich by. the author-
ized officials of the State.
