WEEIDEAS, the Cosnpil of the City of Alammda heretofore adopted Speci-
fications and Provisions, ED. MR 6-4116 for the furnishing of Three New Ton
Durar Truckb to the City, and duly advertMsed. for birs as provided by the Charter;

WEEPERS, only one rid was submitted for the furnishing of such.. Dump
Tracks, by F. H. Dailey, at the price of B(3,930.93, lass allowance of ..(,),525.00
for threh used Trucks; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council, Trucks conforming to the
said spemifirations can be purchased at a lower price in the open marked;
NOW, FREREFOREM BE IT REOLVED that the bid. of said F. H. Dailey e,
and the same is hereby, ejected-
RFOLITED, FURTHER that said City Cobncil hereby finds and detc:,
that in. its opinion Trupits cap be purchased by the City of Alameda at a lower
price in the open market than by. purchasing same on. contract lot after call for
sealed Bids.
RESOLVED, FRUEDR,)that the City Manager be, and he is hereby, author-
izer. to purchase Three New 1)5 Ton DUMD Trurks in the open markat and. without
contract or further call for bids.
