APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR IDE FISCAL YEAR

EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SAID BUDGET FOR SAID FISCXL
YEAR, AND RATIFYING CERTAIN EITENDIPURDS HERETOFORE
MADE.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted. to, and. filed with, this Copnbil, at
this meeting, a budgst presontihg a finanbial plan for condunting the affairs of
the City of Alameda. for the fiscal year beginning July- 1, 1941 and ending Juno
30, 1942, which. budget is marked "Filed with the City' Clerk in open meeting of
the City' Council, September 2, 1941";
NCI), THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED NY THE COONCIL OF TUE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that said. budget as submitted to this Council at this msetihg and each and esery
part thereof, be, asd. the same is hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for
the City of Alamsda for the fiscal year 1GX1-1:34,2, and that the ergsmdlturss of
the various sums of money thdrein providsd to be spend for each specific purpose,
and. the severed purposes therein set forth for which suah expenditures ars pro-
vided to be made during the said fiscal year bsg. and. the same are hereby, approved
and authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and. are hereby, appropriated for
the fiscal year 1941-1942, for the purpose of msetinm the cost of salaries and
wages paii officers and annloyees, the cost of maintenance, operation and. for
equipment and other capital outlay of the respective departments 13
offices and boards 1. the City, and for the purpose of paying the annual install-
ments of principal and. interest 11' the Oityfs bonded indebtedness, and for all
other purposed detimmated in said budget, the several sums of money respectively -
allotted in said budget for the respective purposes of the said 311 113 di-
visions, offices and. boards of the Cits, and. for such special fundp and other
purposes designated in said. Sunset; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of' the appropriations heroin. provided
fer are made out of the General Fund for the fiscal year 151.1-151,2, excent these
made to the following designated purposes, to wit: 'f(dend. Interemt and Redemption",
"Public Library", "Relief 3u3135, "Policemon and Firemen's Pension Fund", "Alameda
Mdnlcipal Employees' Retirement Fund" and "Street improvement Funqt, which appro-
priations are made out of the special funds reerectihvely establithed therefor.
.13 IT PCRVBFR RESOLVED that such expenditures as mas' havc been made by-
the seseral derartmente divisions, offices and boards of the City after the bc-
inning of the fiscal year 1.941-1962, and prior to the adoption of this resolption,
and have been. or may be duly approved hy the City Auditor, are hereby ratified,
confirmed and approved, and shall be respectively charged against the appropria-
tions herein. and in said budget provided. for.
