WEEREAS, pursuanE to authorization contained in ResolnEion BE, 26560
adopted December 17, 1940, the City. of-Alameda joined with the City of Oakland
and the Coanty of Alameda in making applicatien to the Public Works Agoncy of
the United States Government for the allocation of funds and the construEtion of
a new highway connection between. the cities of AlanEde and Oakland; and
WEEPERS, the matter of said. application is nmv before the Public WorMs
Agency and the Navy Department of dhe Undted States for consideration and action;
and.
WEIR:FAS, it is necessary that a representative of the City of Alameda
be althorized to appear before the Public Works Agency, the hEmy Department and
the 131 (03 Congi-eEsional. Committees to present all of thE fact bearing upon
the anplibation end the proposed project;
