SEWER WITHOUT WRITTYN,NONTRWOT OR CALI,. TIBR SIDSm
WHEREAS, the Sonthmide sanitary sewer of the City of Alameda, running
along Eighth. Street amq.. thence paralleling liorhela Avenam„ from Central fivarme
to Ninth Street, a di:item:de of approximately 1300 linger feet, has become comm
pimtely clogged with sand. and other extraneous material, camsing a complete
stoppage in. the flow of sewage and necessitating the discharge of semage flowing
iT. said Southoide sewer from. areas eabt of Nlmth Street to be discharged in. Sam.
Illranoimoo Bay; and
WHEREAS, the discharge. of such sewage in the waters of the Ray. creates
en. unbanntnry eondition which endangmrs the Health:of the residents of the City;
and
ABININAE, tho City Ices not mossens the equipment needed for the im-
maniate repair anb. cleaning of said. semor, and the securing of sumh eanipment
woulii entail consiegrable delay; sing.

of arid. sewer and the immgdiate elimimatien of said. unsanitary- condition. and
for the preservation of the health ann. safety of the oitinemn of Alameda:
