RESOLUABGE OPPOSING PROPREED EBBED PLAN OR SAN' FRANCISCO
BAY PROTECT, TRANSTOPEUMNG BAST, NORTH AND SOUTH POETISE
OF SAN- ITOURNISCO BAN INTO A EREBU TATER LANE.
WHEREAS, :Bo proposed so-called Reber Plan proposes to wall off tLe
entire East Day Area, including one United States Army Port of Embbrkation and
the Army &apply Depot, Nev Supply Depot, Alameda Naval Air Station, Mare
island Navy Yards, and block off tho entire Port development now constructed and
under construction on tine east and north shores of san Francinico Bay from all
direct connection with. the bay and oceanic shipping; and.
WEERBAS, the adoption of such a plan would destroy hundreds of millions
of dollars of value of industrial and other property' on the east and north shores
oE the Bay, without any coripensating benefits therefrom;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER, that the City of Alumeda, acting througn
its City Goanril, does hereby express itself to be unalterably opposed to the said
proposed Reber Plan. or any plan similar thereto.
