CONGRESSMEN AND UNITED STATES SENATORS, THE DISRUPTING

'ANEREAS, the powers and duties of the Co-ordinator of the sixteen War
Price and Rationing boards comprising the Oakland-Alaaeda County district of the
U. P. A. have been assumed b the, San Francisco office of that bureau, despite
the fact that under the administration of the co-ordinator of the Alameda County
boards, Mr. W. F. Ostrander, an efficiently working organization second to none
in the entire country has been developed; and
WISEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of Alameda that Inc best
results can he obtained by local autonomy in the administration of the sixteen War
Price and Rationine: boards of the Alameda County district, one of the greatest war
production areas in the nation, numbering 650,N0U people, how, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that thn Mayor and
City Manager be instructed to make the strongest representations to the office of
Price Administration at Washington, and to our Congressmen and United States
Senators against dlsruoting the splendid ration board organization built up under
