AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH ALIVIEDA CHANBER
OF CONVERGE FOR ADVERTISING FOP, THE FISCAL FEAR REDINO
TUNE 30, 1944 AND APPROPRIATING RS.000.00 FOR SUCH
PURPOSES.
WEE.REAS, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce is willing to undertake the
work. of adverng the City of Alameda and. to carry on all the necessary pub-
licity for said city during the fiscal year ending dune 30, 1944; and
WHEREAS, the production of such advertising and publieity requires
special services of a professional -wad technical. nature and special. technical
skill and facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, El IT RESOLVED lit Ti iE COUNCIL OF THE CFSER OF ALAYEDA
that tbe City of Alameda enter into a contract with the Alameda. Chamber of Com-
merce for the carryLflr: on by said Chamber of Commerce of all necessary publicity
and advertising on behalf of the City of Alameda for the fiscal. year ending June
3D. 1944, provided the obligation of the City for the production of such adver-
tising end publibity, and the services and work to be performed by said Adver-
tiser, including roimbursemout to Advertiser for its overhead expense s- produc-
ing sliCh publicity and advertising, shall not exceed in the aggregate the sum of
tS,000.00.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a form of contract to be entered into by and
between the Alameda Chamber of Commerce and the City of Alameda, submitten to
the Council end. filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda this day, una
the terms, agreements and provisions themeof be, and the same are hereby,
approved.
RESOLVED, that the Mayer of the City of Alameda is hereby
authorized and directed to execute, and tde Glty Clerk to atteat, on behalf of
the City of Alameda, a contract substantially in the form and containing the
covenants, agreements and provisions set forth in the aforesaid form of contract.
RE,GOLVED, FURTh1R, that pursuant to Grdinance No. 641, Rem Escies, the
s-uu of ;h13,000.00 be, and is hereby, appropriated out of the General Fund of the
City to be used for publicity or advertiniug for said 'City for the fiscal year
ending June SO, 1944 in the manner and for the purposes brovidod Nn said Ordi-
nance No. 641, New Series.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the. foregoing Resolution. was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day. of September, 1943, by the following
