RESOLUTION NO. 2967
LEASING CERTAIN LANDS BELONGING TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
TO PACIFIC BRIDGE COMPANY, A CORPORATION; APPROVING THE
FORM AND TERMS CF SAID LEASE AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECU-
TION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Pacific Bridge Company, a corporation, hereinafter referred to
as Lessee, has applied to the City of Alameda for e lease, on a month to month
tenancy, of the following described real property belonging to said City and situ-
ated in the City. of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, more particu-
larly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the westerly line of
Walnut Street with the Northerly line of Buena Vista Avenue,
as said street and avenue now exist, running thence North
28* 39' East along said line of Walnut Street 269.66 feet
to a point, said point being the true point of commencement;
thence Northeasterly, along said Westerly line of Walnut
Street, 337.43 feet to a point; thence North 61* 21' West
23 feet to a point; thence South 28* 39' Net 337.43 feet
to e point; thence South 61* 21' East 23 feet to the point
of commencement, known as McKinley Park Stadium Bleachers,
Being portion of Blocks 26 and 27 as said blocks ere deline-
ated on the plat entitled "Map of Lands Adjacent to the Town
of Encinal, Alameda County, California" on file in the office
of the County Recorder of said Alameda County,
to be used by said Lessee for any and all purposes incidental to or in connection
with the construction of floating dry docks or other construction for the United
States; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has considered said applica-
tion and has submitted certain terms and conditions respecting said lease which.
are agreeable to and acceptable by said Lessee; and
WHEREAS, a form of lease containing the covenants and agreements agre�rnents to be
stipulated and agreed upon by and between the City of Alameda and said Lessee has
been prepared and submitted to this Council at its regular meeting held on May 2,
1944 and ordered filed. with the Clerk of said City and Marked "Filed May 2, 1944,
Loreme R. Beatie, City Clerk of Alameda", and this Council has fully considered
and is familiar with the terms thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as
follows:
SECTION 1. That the form of lease referred to in the preamble hereof
and the terms, covenants, agreements and provisions thereof be, and the same are
hereby, approved.
SECTION 2. That the lands hereinbefore and in said form of lease de-
scribed be, and the same are hereby, leased to Pacific Bridge Company, a corpora-
tion, for the period and rental and otherwise upon the terms, covenants, agreements
and provisions contained in said form of lease submitted to this Council and filed
and approved as aforesaid.
SECTION 3. The Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, as the act and deed of the City
of Alameda, a lease substantially in the form and containing the terms, covenants,
agreements and provisions set forth in the aforesaid form of lease.

I, the andersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of May, 1944, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Tones, Osborn and President
Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
