RESOLUTION NO. 3026
CREATING POSITION OF "HEAD GROUNDSKEEPER" IN THE PARKS
AND PLAYGROUNDS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY AND PRESCRIBING
THE DUTIES THEREOF.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as follows:
Section 1. The position of "Head Groundskeeper" is hereby created
and established in the Parks and Playgrounds Department of the City.
Section 2. The duties of the position of Head Groundskeeper shall
be as follows:
Under the general supervision and direction of the Labor Supervisor
or the City Engineer.
To exercise general supervision over and assign work to Grounds-
keepers and maintenance forces in the maintenance of public grounds, public
parks and playgrounds; to trim and spray trees and shrubs; to plant and
properly care for all flowers, lawns and plants; to assist Groundskeepers:
to perform related duties nd work as assigned or directed by the Labor
Supervisor or the City Engineer.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of August, 1944, by the following
vote, to wit:

AYES: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Tore, and President Godfrey,
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Osborn, (1).
