RESOLUTION NO. 3028
CREATING THE POSITION OF "ENGINEERING AID" IN TEE STREET
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY AND PRESCRI8ING ma DUTIES THEREOF.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Cr ALAMEDA as follows;
SECTION 1, There are hereby created and established in the Street
Department of the City of Alameda.four (4) positions of employment each of
which shall be known and designated as the position of "Engineering, Aid."
SECTION 2. The dutihs of the position of Engineering Aid end of
the person or persons holding such position shall be as follows:
Under supervision, to perform and assist in the performance of
simple routine field or office engineering and. survey work, to perform work
as rodman or chairman in connection with the making of surveys; to clear way
for survey lines; to dig for monuments; to care for instruments and equipment;
to copy data, check and plat level and cross section notes and compute areas;
to record stations, instrument readings, distances and other data in field
books, and to perform related duties and work as assigned and directed by the
Survey Party Chief or the City Engineer or Assistant City Engineer.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meetinj assembled on the 15th day of August, 1944, by the following
vote, to wit;
AYES: Councilmen Dranscheid, Howe, Jhnes, Osborn and President
Godfrey, (5),
