APPROVING AND ADOPTING A 0001 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1944-1945; APPROPRIATING CERTAIN HONEYS FOR THE
EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SAID BUDGET FOR SAID FISCAL
YEAR; AND RATIFYINE CERTAIN EXPENDITURES HERETOFORE
MADE.
EEEREAS, there. has been submitted to, and filed with, this Council, ut
this meotig, a budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs
of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year beginning 'July 1, 1944, and ending
June 30, 1945, which budget is marked' "Piled with the City Clerk in open meeting
of the City Council, September 5, 1944;"
NOW, THEREFORE:, BE Id' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL •OF ITE CITY T ALAMERA
that said budget as submitted to this Codncil at this meeting, and each and every
part thereof, Pc, and the same is hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for
the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1944-1945, and that the exhenditures of
the various sums of money therein provided to be spent for each specific purpose,
and the several purposes therein set forth for which such expenditures are pro-
vined to be made during the said fiscal year be, and the same are hereby, approved.
and authorized.
BE IT FURTHER REEPI,VED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for
the fiscal year 1944-1945, for the purpose of meeting the cost of salaries and
wages paid officers and employees, the cost of maintenance, operation, and for
equipment and other capital 01rlay of the respective departments, divlsions,
offices and boards of the City, and for all. othem purposes designated in said
budget, the several 0 8S of money respectively allotted in said budget for the
respective purposes of the said departments, divisions, offices and boards of
the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in said
budget, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all cf the appropriations herein provided
for are made ont of the General Fund for the fiscal year 194x-15.4B, except those.
Lade to or for purposes for which special funds are ostablisned, and as to suc3i .
last finationed purposes said appropriations are made out of the special funds
respectively. established. therefor.
BE IT FURITER RESOLVED that such expenditures aa may have been made by
the several departments, ilvisions, offices and boards of the City after the
beginning. ef the fiscal. year 1944-1945, and prior to tYne adoption et this reso-
lution, and have been or may be duly approved by the City Auditor, are hereby
ratified, confirmed and approved, and snail be respectively charged against the
appropriations herein and in said budt;et provided for.
I, thb undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alacieda
in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of September, 1944, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
