REGOLUTION ND. 1038
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR RESURFACING
AND REPAIR OF ASPHALT KM) BITUMINOUS RAVEATENT FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1945.
HEREAS, public interest and necessity require the resurfacing and repair
of certain public streets in the City of Alameda; and
MIEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions for
resurfacing and reRairing of asphalt and bituminous pavement for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1945, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered No. BAT
9-44-4.3nd were filed in the office of the Bity Clerk of said City on September 5,
1944;
NOR, THEREFORE, BE IT hESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 03, 000 that
the aforesaid Specificatiens and Provisions, numbered and filed as aforeoaid, be,
and the dame are hereby, approved and adunted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied. in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is nereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the Cdty of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hoer of 8:05 o'clock p. lop, on Tuesday, September 19, 1944,
for the furnishing to the City cf Alameda of all labor, material_ and equipment
necessary for the resurfacing and repairing of asphalt and bituminous pavement in
the streets of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year. ending June 50, 1945, RA
accordance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bins must be presented to
the City Clark, in the City Hail, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and .
plainly mGrad on the outside "Proposal for Resurfacing and Repairing Pavement,"
or similar desiamation.
Contract, if a0"04 3, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of tne
charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits Ole lowest and best
bid. The rigbg is reserved to reject any or add. bids.
Said. Specifications and Provisions may to tad. by a1, prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in. the 03313 all, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby. directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice nailing for sealen 0113s in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City 03 Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of September, 1944, by the following
