ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR PAINTING AND
DECORATING =ERECT; OF FIRE STATION NO. 1.
HEREAS, paolia interest and necemsity require the paimting and decorat-
ing of the exterior of Fire Station Nn. I located at 2414 Webb AVerWee in the City'
of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions
for painting anb decorating the exterior of said fire station, which. Specifica-
tions and Provisions are numbered 9-44-8 and were filed in the office of the
City Clerk of said city on September 19, 1944;
NOW, ITEREBORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALATIPMA
that the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered. and filed as aforeeaid,
be, and. the same are hereby, approved and. adopted-
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion. of the work sp
ied. in said Specifications and Provisions be and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, TEAT the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:08 o'clock, p. m„ on•Tuesday, October 3, 1944,
for the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, material and. equipment
necessary for the painting and decorating of Fire Station Ne. 1 lotated. at 2414.
Webb Avenue in the City of Alameda, in accordance with. said Specifications and
rovieions, Bids must be presented to the CEty Clerk, in the City Hall. in Ala-
meda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked. on the outside "Proposal
for Fire Station he. 1," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, aulbect to the proviblons of the
charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the. lowest and best

Said. Specifications and Provisions mmy be had by any prospective bidder
on applicatien to the City Ensbneer, at his office in tte City Hell, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk. is hareMy directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times
Star, a notice calling for seal., d. bids in accordance wj th. the provisions of this
resolution. and of said Specifications and Previsions.

duly ann. regularly introduced ann. adopted by the Council. of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of Septamber, 1944, by the following
