Resolution 03093RESOLUTION NO. 3093 CALLING GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ON MARCH 13, 1945; . ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS; FIXING NUMBER OF ELECTION OFFICERS ON TEE BOARD' OF ELECTION FOR EACH PRECINCT: AND FIXING COM- PENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS. WHEREAS, Article XIX of the Charter of the City of Alameda provides that a General Municipal Election shall be held in said City on Tuesday, March 13, 1945; and WHEREAS, at said General Municipal Election and pursuant to the pro- visions of the Charter of said City, officers are to be elected to rin the office of Councilman, Auditor and Treasurer for full terms; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEBA that a General Municipal Election be, and is hereby, called and ordered to be held in said City of Alameda, State of California, on Tuesday, March 13, 1945, in accordance with. the provisions of said Charter of the City of Alameda, for the purpose of electing three (3) Councilmen on the City Council and one (1) Auditor and one (1) Treasurer of said City for terms as follows: Three (3) Councilmen on the,Council of said City, for three (3) full terms, each term commencing et 8:00 o'clock P. M., on the third Tuesday in April, 1945, and continuing for four (4) years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified; One (1) Auditor for a terra beginning at 8:00 o'clock P. M., on the third Tuesday in April, 1945, and con- tinuing for four years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified; One (1) Treasurer for a term beginning at 8:00 o'clock P. 1'., on the third Tuesday in April, 1945, and con- tinuing for four years thereafter and until a successor is elected and qualified. RE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 113 election precincts within the City of Alameda, designated and numbered consecutively from No. 1 to No. 105, both inclusive, as the same were last heretofore defined, designated, fixed and es- tablished. by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, State of Califor- nia, by resolutions of said Board No. 37,927, adcpted December 11, 1941, and No. 38,790, adopted July 9, 1942, as the election precincts within the City of Ala- meda for holding General State and County Elections, also No. 106, consolidating precincts Nos. 106, 107 and 108; No. 109, consolidating precincts Nos. 109, 110 and 111; No. 112, consolidating precincts Nos. 112, 113, 114, 115 and 116; No. 117, consolidating precincts Nos. 117, 118 and 119; No, 120, consolidating pre- cincts Nos. 120 and 121; No. 122, consolidating precincts Nos. 122 and 123; No. 124, consolidating precincts Nos. 124 and 125 and No. 126 be, and the same are hereby, fixed, designated and established as the election precincts for holding the aforesaid General Municipal. Election. All of the aforementioned consolida- tions were authorized by Resolution No. 3079 adopted by the Council of the City cf Alameda on January 17, 1945. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Election for each election precinct at said General Municipal Election shall consist of one Inspector, one Jusge and two Clerks. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the compensation to be paid to each of the election officers for conducting said General Municipal Election be, and the same is hereby, fixed at the sum of t7.00, provided that the additional sum of $1.00 shall be paid to the election officer who delivers the returns to the City Clerk. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, directed to do and perform any and all acts required of hiM under the Charter of the City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California in respect to said General Municipal Election, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said General Municipal Election called and ordered to be held, as aforesaid, shall be held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and, canvassed, and the returns thereof made, and the result thereof ascertained, determined and declared, as herein provided, and in all par- ticulars not recited herein in accordance with the Charter of said City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California governing said General Municipal Election. * * * * * * * * * I, the undersigned, hereby,certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of February, 1945, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Branscheid, Howe, Jones, Osborn and President Godfrey, (5).
