ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR PAINTING
ANC DECORATING, INTERIOR 07( HEADTH CENTER IErILDING ANL
EXTERIOR OF HEALTH CENTER BUILDING- AND GARAGE BUILDING,
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the painting and decorat-
ing or tine interior of the Health Center Building and the exterior of the Tlealtb.
Center Building and Garage Building, located at 2226 Santa Clara Avenue in the
City Di Alameda; and
WHEREAS, the City' Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisions
for said painting and decorating, which Specifications and Provisions are num-
bered pw 4-45-1 and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on
April 3, 194.5;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered and filed as aforesaid,
be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESCIYED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby,
authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda wdll receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock, P. m., on Tuesday, April 1', 1945,
for the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and
processes, implements, tools and machinary, except as otherwise srecified,
necessary for the painting and decorating of tha Health Center Building,. and
Onrage Building horeinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications
and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall., in
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside,
"proposal for Painting Health Center," or similar designation.
CONTRACT, if awarded, will be, awarded, subject to the provisions of
the charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
to bid. The right is reserved to reject any or ail bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be bad by any crosceoti ee bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is nareby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice cadling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Prnvisinns.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of April, 1945, by the following vote,
to wit,
