RESOLTED BY TED COUNCIL OD THE CITY Os ALAMEDA. that public interest requires and said Council hereby declares its intention to order the vacation closing and abandonment of those certain portions of Calhoun Street in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, Stute of California described as follows: PARCET 2, COMMENCING at the point cf intersection of the Easterly line of Versailles Avenue es said Avenue is delineated end so designated on that certain Map entitled "Plat of 021211J 'n Divi- sion, Alameda," and filed October 18, 1587, in the Office of the Recorder of Alameda County, State of California, in Map Bock 1.9 at Page 17, ant. the Norttehly lino of Calhoun Street, as deeded by Wm. Stuart, et al, to the City of Alameda, by instrument filed October 25, 18,37, for record. in the Office of the Recorder of Alameda County, State of California, in Liber 342 of Deeds at Page 2, and running thence Southeasterly along said lino of Cal- houn Street 10,38 feet, more or less, to the point of intersec- tion mith the Northerly line of Calhoun Street (50 feet in width) as. said street now exists; said point cf intersection is the true point of beginning for the Parcel. herein described; thence con- tinuing Southeasterly along said Northerly line of Calhoun Street as deeded to the City of Alameda by aforementioned deed (Wm. "Filet July 17, 194.5, and which map is hereby referred to for particulars od to the proposed vacation. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the 7th DAY CE AUGUST, 14.5, at 8:00 O'CLOCK 5. M. of said. day, in the COUNIL. CHAMBER in the CITY ALL, at the northwest corner of Santa Clara Avenue and Cak Street, Alameda, California, be, and the same is hereby, fixad as the time and place for hearing by the Council of said City of all nersons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that this City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby' directed to cause this resolution to be published, in. the manner prescribed by a.ow for the publishing of ordinances of the City of Alammta, in the Alameda Times- Star; a daily newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City and the official newspaper thereof. RESOLVED, ,FORTHER, that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby directed to post, or "auto to be tostea, csdspiducualy along the line of the street and parts of street proposed to be vilcated, notices of such vacation, in the form and manner required by the legislative act hereinafter mentioned. RESOLVEP, FORESEE, that in the heroin proposed vacatioo of said street or perto of street aforementioned, the Council of the City of Alameda hereby elects to proceed undmr end in rursuance of the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 of Inc State of California (Chapter 250, Statutes of 19411, as amended- * * * * * * * * * the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council or the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1.7th day of July, 1.943, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Howe, Sores, Osborn, Sweeney and President Erenscheit, (5), NOES: Nona.
