AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH KENT & HASS,
ARCHITECTS, FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A DRILL TOWER FOR
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA.
WHEREAS, Kent & Hass, a partnership, architects, ere willing to undertake
the work of preparing drawings and to direct and supervise the erection and comple-
tion of a Drill Tower for the Fire Department of the City of Alameda, to be located
on the City-owned property at the southwest corner of the Municipal Golf Course on
Bay Farm Island; and
WHEREAS, said architectural services, consisting of preliminary drawings
and the direction and supervision of the construction work in connection therewith
requires special services of a professional and technical nature, and special
technical skill;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the form of contract to be entered into by and between.said Kent 1 Hass, a partner-
ship, architeots, and the City of Alameda, submitted to this Council and filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda this day, and the terms, agreements
and provisions thereof be, and the same are hereby, approved.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the City Manager of the City of Alameda is here-
by authorized and directed to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of
the City of Alameda, a contract substantially in the form and containing the
covenants, agreements and provisions set forth in the aforesaid form of contract.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of September, 1945, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
