Resolution 03263RESOLUTION NO. 3263 AUTHORIZING CITY TEANAGER TO MAKF APPLICATION TO STATE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE ON BEHALF OF TEE CITY OF ALArEDA FOR STATE ASSISTANCE IN DEFRAYING COST CF PLANS FOR NORTNSIDF STOW WATER DISPOSAL SYSTEM. (PROTECT 21). 47-14). WHEREAS, the State of California, under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4tn Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director uf Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to ex- ceed ore-half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and marking and detailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter called ,Tlens") required for postwar public works projects de- scribed as ',specific projects,' in said Act; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the com- pleted plans hereinafter mentioned, and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and 71FFREAS, said City has provided, or will make available upon. approval of the aforementioned anplication, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; NOW TEEREFORF, BE IT RNSOLVED, that said City submit the aforesaid application. to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board, as the case may he, requesting allotment of Eighteen Hundred ()1800.00) Dollars, being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said completed pLans, or for such amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Post war Public Works Review Board, (said. allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying tne cost of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project to be undertaken by said City and described as Project No. 47-14 -- Northside Storm Water Disposal System; DE 1' FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated. cost of preparing such plans is Thirty-six Hundred ($3600.00) Dollars, and that said. City has made provision for paying one-halt or more of the cost of preparing such plans; BE IT FURTH-KR RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application, Don C. McMillan, City Manager of the City of Alameda, be, and he hereby is, desig- nated as the authorized agent of said City and is hereby authorized and directed. to sign the above mentioned application on behalf of said 01-ty and submit the same to the Director of Finance and/or the Post War Public Works Review Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is fur- tner authorized end directed, as the renresentative of said City to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the Staters share of the expenditure made in preparing said completed plans. * * * * * * * * * the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced . and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular roosting assembled on the 18th day of December, 1945, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Howe, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President Branscheid, (5).
