in excess of $300,000,00; and.
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that *00,000.00 out of the afore-
said Nuada be invested in 7/8 Por Cent Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of
Series 1I-1946 of the Halted States o America, maturing December 1, 1946;
OW, THEREFORE, DE TT RESOLVED ET THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that the amount of $.300,000.00, from active funds of the City now 00. deposit
in banks, be, and it is hereby ordered to he, invested in 7/8 Per Cent Treasury
Certificates of Indebtedness of Series 35-1946 of the United. 'States of America,
naturthE December 1, 1946, and the Treasurer of »'e City of Alaned is hereby
authorized and directed. to purchase forthwith, on behalf of the City of Alameda,
and out of the moneys rereinabove referred to, said. Treasury Certificates, ao
