RESOLUTION NO. 3268
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A STORM SEWER ON TES 11TEST SIDE OF
EVERETT STREET FROM BLANDING AVENUE TO THE ESTUARY, CALL-
ING FOR J4TPS, AT PIREO77NG TIT CITY CLERK TO .P.WE2 .TT
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of a
precast 21,7 reinforced concrete storm sewer along the westerly side of Everett
Street, extending approximately from the southerly line of Blanding Avenue to the
Estuary (station 9 - 63 to 13 - 34); the construction of approximately 160 linear
feet of e" vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer in the same trench as said 21,,
storm sewer; the construction of three reinforced concrete catch basins; and the
reconstruction of curbs, cutters, sidewalks, streets, etc., incidental to said
construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provi-
sions and Plans for said work, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered
PW 1-46-1, and were filed in the office of the City Clerk on said city on January
15, 1946;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CF ALAMEDA
that the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions bo, and the same is hereby,
authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock, P. Y., on Tuesday, February 5, 1946,
for the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and
processes, implements, tools and machinery, except as otherwise specified, neces-
sary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications
and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside,
',Proposal for Construction of Storm Sewer on the West Side of Everett Street from
Blanding Avenue to the Estuary," or similar designation.
CONTRACT, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of the
charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best
bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application. to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced. and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of January, 1946, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES; Councilmen Howe, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheide (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
