ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PLANS FOR MRAL CONSTRUCTION
OF FIRE DRILL TOWER FOR CITY C ALAMEDA. LOCATED AT BAY
FARM ISLAND, CALLITIG FOR PITS AND DIRECTING T CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE TEE SAME.
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity reouire the construction of a
Fire Drill Tower for the City of Alameda, located at the S. W. corner of the
Alameda Municipal Golf Course, Bay Farm island; and
WHEREAS, Kent Hass, a partnership, architects, have prepared Speci-
fications and Plans for said work, which Specifications and Plans are numbered
P2 3-46-3, and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City on March
19, 1946;

that the aforesaid Specifications and Plans, numbered and filed. as aforesaid be,
and the same are hereby, approved ann adopted.
RESOLVED :117rRTHER, that the performance and completion of "ale work
specified in said Specifications and Plans be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RES031722 EUETHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda ui1J receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8;05 o'clock, P. M., on Tuesday, April 2, 1946, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and pro-
cesses, implements, tools and machinery, except as otherwise specified, necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and
Plans. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in Alameda,
California, under scaled cover and plainly marked on the outside "Proposal for
Construction of Fire Drill Toyer", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to the provisions of
the Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and 'Plans may be had by any prospective bidder on
application to the City Clerk, at his office in the City Nall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-
star, a notice calling for sealed bids in 'accordance with the provisions of this
Resolution and of said Specifications and Plans.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 19th day of March, 1946, by the following
