APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY MANAGER DURING THE ABSENCE
OF THE CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the Council has authorized and directed the City Manager to
represent the City of Alameda M, conferences to be held in Washington, D. C. and
Montreal, Canada, which will result in his absence from the City for a considerable
period of time; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No, 3320, Carl Froerer was appointed as Acting
City Manager of the City of Alameda during the absence of the City Manager on the
aforesaid mission; and
WE:BREA:3, the Council has authorized and directed said Carl Froare
attend American Municipal Conference at Timberline Lodge, Oregon, which will be
held on June 21st and Juue 22nd, 1946,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAtIDA,
that Resolution No. 3320 be, and the same is hereby, rescinded and set aside; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that J. P. Clark be, and he is hereby, appointed
Acting City Manager of the City of Alameda during the absence of the City Manager.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of June, 1946, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Howe, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheid, (5).

None.
