ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR amannzmNT OF MAITLAND DRIVE FROM EASTERLY CITY
LIMITS TO BAY FARM ISLAND BRIDGE.
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require the improvement of
Maitland Drive from easterly City limits to Bay Farm Island Bridge, and inci-
dental work pertaining thbreto; and
WHEREAS., the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provi-
sions and Plans for said work, which Specifications and Provisions are numbered
PW 9-46-7 and were filed in the office of the City Clerk of said city on Septem-
ber 3, 1946;
NOW, THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
that tte aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and
filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performnce and completion of the work
specified in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby,
authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 9:05 o'clock, P. M., on Tuesday, September 17, 1946
for the furnishing tc the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and
processes, implements, tools and machinery., except as otherwise specified, neces-
sary for the work hereinabcve referred to, in accordance with said Specifications
and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall, in
Alameda. California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside "Pro-
posal for Improvement of Maitland Drive," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded, subject to tbe
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the
NIL. The right is reserved to reject any or all. bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in tte City

Star, a notice calling for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.

in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of Sentember, 1946, by the following
