OE ALAMEDA RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the public interest requires, and sain Council hereby declares. its intention, to ardor the vacation, closing and abandonment of that certain portion of Fountain. Street, in the City of Alameda, County of Alamedh, State of California, described as follows; COMMENCING at the intersections of the center lines of Otis Drive ort Street) and Fhuntain Street, as said streets are shown. on tiv;t map entitled "Map of Town of Alameda and Adjacent Lands" AS surveyed. by Horace A. Higley and recorded September 1?, 1867, fin. Book. 5 of Maps, at Page 16., in thE Alameda County Recorder's Office; THENCE southwesterly along the said center line of Fountain Street to the inter- section with thE southerly line of Otis Drive, 80 feet in. width, as it exists today, said intersection. is the TREE POINT OF DE7INNING; THENCE southeasterly along the last sale line 30 feet. to its intersection with the easterly line of Fountain Street; THENCE southwesterly along the last said line to its Eatersection with the iiee of Ordinary High Tide as shown on the map entitled "Mep No. 2 of Salt Marsh. and Tide Lands situete in the County of Alameda, State of California, 1871" prepared by order of the Board of Tide Land. Commissioners' and. filed in the office of said. Co=dssioners in San Francisco, certified conies thereof having been filed with the County Recorder of the City and County of' San Francisco; THENCE northwesterly along said line of Ordinary Nigh Tide to the intersection with the westerly line of Fountain Street; THENCE northeasterly along said last line to the intersection with the southerly line of Otis Drive, 80 feet in width; THENCE southeasterly along last said. line 30 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. RESOLVED, FURTHISa, that said Council determines that the public convenience and necessity.- require8 the reservation to the City of Alameda of a permanent easement and right-of-way over and across a parcel of land in that portion. of Fountain Street proposee to be vacated, for the purpose of constructing, operating, maintaining, 'p) 3111111, renewing and repairing thereon a storm drainage system, and said perma- nent easement and right-of-way for the aforesaid purposes i5 heroby reserved to the City of Alameda (andexcepted. from the vaca(ion. of said portion of Fountain Street) over And across the followinp described parcel of landf 3I 1) a strip or parcel of land 15 feet in width, situated in the City of Alameda, County cf Alameda, State of California. and mene particularly described, to wit; BEGINNING at the most westerly- corner of Otis DTive, 80 feet in width.and Fountain Street, 60 feet in width, as said drive and '1 I' shown on. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the portion of said Fountain Street to be vacated and abandoned and the details of said vacation are mere particularly shown upon that certain map known as Drawinc; 4125, Case 41, bearing the legendf "Fountain Street South of Otis Dr., and Vicinity", which map is hereby approved for the purpose of this proceeding and is hereby ordered 1810 in the office of the City Clerk- of the City of Alameda and narked "Filed May 18, 1954, and which map is hereby referred to for particulars aa to th proposed vacation.
