ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS FOR RESURFACING
AND RETAIN OF ASPHALT AND BITUMINOUS PANEMENT FVER THE
FISChL YEAR ENDING dUNE 30, 1955, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
3., 1,3. CITY CLERK 1 ADWEEWISE SAKE.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications and Provisibns for
resurfacing and repair of asphalt and bituminous pavement for the fiscal ypar ending
dune 30, 1955, which are numbered 74 N-54-8 and were filed in the offioe of the City
Clerk on May 18, 1954,,,
NOW THEREFOHEh BE IT' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIANIDA that
the aforesaid Specifications and Provisions, numbered and. filed as aforesaid, be,
and the camp are hereby., approved and adopted.
R.BSOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and. completion of the work specified
in such. Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED,. FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will. receive
sealed blas up. to .the hour of 8105 o,clock P. 1,1.$ on. Tuesday, dune 1$ 1954, for the
furnishing to the City of all labor, materials and eqpipment necessary for rosurfac-
ing and repairing asphalt and.. bituminous pavement in the streets of the City of
'(3e '3. for the fiscal. year ending jure= 30, 1955, in accordance with said Specifi-
cations and Provisions. Bids is bo presented to the City Clerk, in the City Hall,
in Alameda California, under sealed cover and plainly marked. or. the outside "Proposal
for Repair of Asphalt and. Bituminous Tenement", or slo.Dar dosignation,
Contract, if aardod, will ho awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter 0 sald City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid-
The right is reservod to reject any. or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star
a. notice calling for sealed 3. 3.3, in. accordance with the brovibions of this resolution
