WHEREAS, the City Engineer Las prepared Sbecificstions, Special.. Provisions
and Plans for the installation of house laterals from the street laterals to the
property lino, and other work appurtenant thereto, for the fiscal year ending June
50, 1955, which. Specifications, Eloecinl Provisions and Plans are nurnered Pll "5-54-9
anP. were filed with the City. Clork on. Mhy 18, 1954;
NOW THEREPORE, BE RESOLNED BY THE COUNCL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special khovisions and Plana, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and tho same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURYNER, that the performance and cogbletion of the work
specifi ed. in. said.Shecifications and Provisione ne, and the same is. hereby, 1-1 4)1
RESOLVED, 02 '1:, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up.to_the hour of 8:05 oclook P. Mh on Tuesday., ;rune 1, 195k, for the
furnishing to the City. of sal labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
necessary for the installation of house lotekals and other wbrk appurtenant thereto,
for the fiscal year ending Tune 3o, 1955, in accordance with said Specifications and.
Provisions. Bids must be rnesented to the City Clerk, in. the City Hall, Alamedb,
California, under sealed. cover and plainly' merked on. the outside, "Proposal for
Instellatien of Houde Laterals", or similhk designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provielons of the
Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submite the lowest and. best bid,

on application to the. City Engineer, at his office in the City Nall, Alameda,
California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed. to advertise, in the Alameda Tikes-StaT
a notice calling for sealed.. bids in accordance with the provisions of thlys resolution
and of said Specifinations and Provisions.
