ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR INSTALLATION OF NAUTILUS STREET SANITARY SEWER IN
THE VICINITY OF' ALASKA PACKERS, CALLING FOR BIDS AND
DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, tha City Engineer tas prepared Specifications, Speolal Provisions
and Plans for the installation of the Nautilus Street Sanitary Sewer, ih the vicinity
of the Alaska Packers, numbered PW 7-54-18 and filed in the office of the City Clerk
on July 20, 195N;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified
in said Specifications and Provisions be, and. the same is hereby authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council. of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 0:05 o'clock P. M- on Tuesday, August 3, 1954, for the
furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and
equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said.
Specifications and. Provisions. Bids must Le presented to the City Clerk in the City
Mall, in Alameda, California, undersealed cover and plainly marked on the outside
"Proposal for Installation of Nautilus Street Sanitary Sewer", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and
best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or aal bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Timas-star
a notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution
and of said Specifications and Provisions.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoi:ng Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City. of Alameda in. regular
meeting assembled. on the 20th day of July, 195R, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Jones, MbCall, Moresi and Vice-Mayor Anderson, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Sweeney, (1).
