RESOLUTION NO 496h
MEMOEIALISINO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
IN THE MATTER CF EXPEDITING ALOPTION OF THE ALA, DA
COUNTY. SHORELINE MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, certain moneys have been earmarked by the State Division of Beaches
and Parks for the purpose of matching funds to be supplied 'by the several municipali-
ties in said County for the acquisition of shoreline properties for beach and other
shoreline uses; and
WE7REAS, said earmarked moneys may not be released for 8UCh use in Alameda
County prior to the filing by said County and approval by the Division of Beaches
and Parks of a completed County. Shoreline Master Plan of said County; and
WHEREAS, it is of the utmost importance that prompt action be had in the
completion and filing of said County Shoreline Master Plan, in the interest of safe-
fuardin the use of said earmarked moneys to the Alamda County jurisdiction;
NOW T.F2AREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
the Alameda County Planning Commission be, and it in hereby respectfully urged and
requested to expedite completion of the County Shoreline Master Plan in order that
it my go to public hearings and thence to filling 1.Tith and approval by the Division
of Beaches and Parks at the earliest possible date.
