APPROVING AND ADOPTING A BEDGET FCR THE FISCAL YEAR
1954-1955 APPROPRIATING CERTAIN MONEYS FOR TEE
EXPENDITURES PROVIDED IN SAID BUDGET FOR SAID
FISCAL YEAR AND 'RATIFYING CERTAIN EXPENDITURES
HERETOFORE MADE.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to, and filed with this Council, at this
meeting, a budget representing a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the
City of Alameda for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1954, and ending June 30, 1955
which budget is marked, "Filed with th6 City Clerk in open meeting of the City
Council, September 7, 1554";
New THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
said budget as submitted to this CaJncil at this -meeting: and each and every part
thereof, be, and the same is hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City
of Alameda for the fiscal year 1954-1956, and that the expenditures of the various
sums of money therein provided to be spent for salaries and wages, maintenance and
operation and capital outlay by each department as thereth listed in detail are
hereby approved and authorized in total, by the above object classification, as the
appropriations fur the fiscal year ending June 30, 1965.
EE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there be, and are hereby, appropriated for
the fiscal year 1954-1955, the specified sums for the purpose of meeting the cost
of salaries and wages paid officers and employees, the cost cf maintenance, opera-
tion, and for equipment and other capital outlay of the respective departments,
divisions, offices and boards of the City, and for all other purposes designated in
said budget for the respective purposes, cf the said departments, divisions, offices
and boards of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in
said budget; and
5E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the appropriations herein provided for
are aade out o' the General Fund for the fiscal year 1954-1955, except those made to
or for purposes for which special funds are establlshed, and as to such last men-
tioned purposes said appropriations are made out of the special funds respectively
established therefor.
