ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR RBSUEPACING AND CULVERT CONSTRUCTION OD HIGH
STREET FROM CENTRAL AVENUE TO SAN JOSE AVINTUE, CALLING
FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CIEURK TO ADVERTISE SANE,
WHEREAS, the City EngineeT has prepared Specifieations, Special Provisions
and Plans for the resurfacing and culvert construction on High Street fron Central
Avunue to San IDSO nUMbOrea 'IN 2-55-1 and filed in the office of the City
Clerk on February 15, 1955;
NOW TITSREFOINS. BE IT RESOLVED EY WEB COUNCIL OF NNE CITM OF ALAMEDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special PTovisions and Plans, numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby approved and adeeted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of thc work
specified in said Srecifioctions and Provisions bo, and the same is hereby. authoriz-
ed.
RESOLVED, 10011 1, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to the hour of 8:05 o'clock P. M. on Tuesday, March 1, 1955, for the 1u13tLi, furnistine to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment
Redesocry for the work Utereinahoye referred to in accordance with said Soecifica-
tions and. Provisions. Bids must be Presented to the City Cl. rk, in the City Hall,
in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and Plainly marked on the outside,
"Proposal for Resurfacing and Culvert Construction 011 High Street from Central
Avenue to on Too. Avenue", or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and boot bid. PTe riAght is reserved to reject any 0-2 all bids.
Said Specifications and Previsions may bo had by eny prospective bidder
on application to the City Engineer, at his office in the City Nall, Alameda,
California.
Trc City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alailedn Times-
Star a notice calling for 2ea1od bids, in accordance with tne provisions of this
resolution and of said Specifications and Provisiohn

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the aouncil of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 15th dny of February, 1955, by the follow-
