CANCELLING. CITY TARPS ON PROPERTY ACOIRED BY SCHOOL
DISTRICT FC?. PUBLIC PURPOSES. (333 Taylo Avenue)
WEEHEAS, the following described real roserty situated in. the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to -Wit:
BEGINNING .at a point on the northern line of Taylor Avenue
distant thereon westerly 167 foot from the intersection
thereof with the western line of 9th street, formerly
IlePherspn Street; running thence msterly along said line of
Taylor Avenue 50 feet; thence at right angles northerly 110
feet; thence at right arvJ easterly 50 feet; and thence at
right nnsles southerly 110 feet, to the point of heE;inning,
(TAX BILL 110. 8606, 12,54-1955; AB. 239, Plate 3, Ritzaul
has been assessed heretofore for city purposes for the fiscal year 1254-1255 and
taxes levied. thereon in the :u.. of C36.0, of which sum ,E21.39 has been paid, and
the balance, $15.28, remains uncollected and unpAid; ana
WUREAS, after the time said taxes or assessments became a lien on said
real croDerty, it was, by Deed recorded in the office of the Coehty Recorder of
Alameda County on February 1, 1'55, in Beek 7575, page 157, of Official. Records,
acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by llamado Unified School
District, a public body, and haa been inc. how is being used for public purposes,
and bccause of such public ownership is not subject to sale far delinquent texas;
and
WHERBM said School District has recuasted the cancellation of said
uncollected taxes;
N(JW THARAJAhRE, DE IT AF301,11ED BY TEE COUNCIL OF IDE CITY OF ALAMFDA,
with. the written consent of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all
uncollected taxes charged 02 levied for city purposes upon the aforesaid real
property., toguther with penalties and. costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby
cancelled, and the Auditor and Tax Collector of the City of Alamuda. are hereby
authorized and. directed to cancel the same on their respective books.
BE IT FURTHER RASOLVED, anythin5 in this resolution to the contrary
notwithstanding, that this resolution and order snall not be construed as cancell-
ing, or authorizing the cancellation of, any special assessment taxes levied
aLEinst said real property by ths City of Alameda pursuant to the. previsions of
the "Acquisition and Imjirovement Act of 1925.
I, J. P. CLARK, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of
California, do hereby consent to the cancellation cf any and all uncollected taxes
and assessments 00 penalties anR costs thereon, charged or levied for city 10 0503
upon the real nroperty described in the within resolution.
