RESOLUTION NO 5749
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER. TO DISPOSE OF PERSONAL
PROPERTY OF LESS THAN $1000.00 IN VALUE.
WHEREAS, in the interests of a more efficient operation of the city govern-
ment cf the City of Alameda it is necessary that the City Manager of the City cf
Alameda be authorized to dispose of personal property owned by the City which is
surplus and/or unusable by the City;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
whenever, in the opinion of the City Manager of the City of Alameda, there exists
surplus and/or unusable personal property owned by the City of Alameda with a fair
market value of less than One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars, the City Manager is
hereby authorized to sell or dispose of such personal property at the best price
obtainable on the open market.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the signature of the City Manager of the
City of Alameda attached to bill of sale or other necessary document shall be
sufficient to transfer all interest of said City in the personal property to the
intended vendee.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 18th day of February, 1958, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen, Schacht and
President McCall, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
