RESOLUTION NO. 5751
ESTABLISHING BIDDING PROCEDURE FOR PUBLIC WORK, MATERIALS
OR SUPPLIES 'FURS= TO SECTION 3-15 OF THE CHARTER OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
WHEREAS, in the interests of an efficient operation of the government of
the City of Alameda, it is proper that established bidding procedures be set out
pursuant to Section 3-15 of the Charter of the City of Alameda;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED EY THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
all bids received by the City of Alameda for public work, materials or supplies in
response to the advertisement for sealed bids required by Section 3-:1 of the Char-
ter of the City of Alameda shall be publicly opened and read by the City Clerk of
the City of Alameda in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Alameda, City
Hall, Alameda, California, at the time and date specified. in the advertisement for
the receipt of such bids.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Alameda shall
specify the time and date for the receipt and public opening of such bids, such
time and date being in conformance with the Charter of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall
tabulate the results of the bids received and transmit such information to the mem-
bers of the Council of the City of Alameda, and the City Manager shall transmit
therewith his recommendations based upon the bids received.

1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regu-
lar meeting assembled on the 4th day of March, 1958, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Collischonn, Freeman, Petersen and
President McCall, (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman Schacht, (1).
