RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY.-OF ALAMEDA
APPROVING IN PRINCIPLE THE METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION
OF A NEW FRUITVALE AVENUE BRIDGE, WITH APPROACHES
THERETO, AND TEE FINANCING THEREFOR, AS SET OHT
IN LETTER OF' CITY MANAGER, DATED APRIL 8, 1958,
ATTACHED HERETO.
WBEREAS, numerous conferences and stuc y. sessions have been had with rela-
tion to the construction of a nsw 1. 3V800 Avenue bridge, with >Co thereto,
and wEth specific relation to the finanning thoreof: and.
WHERES, as a result of such nonfehhnces and study sessions a general
plan has been evolved concerning this mstter, such. general plan being set out in
the letter of the City Manager of he City of Alameda dated April 8, 1958, attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Council. of thp City of 01&m-ca is aware er the contants of
such general plan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT REBOLVED T2iY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
The plan for the construction and. financing of a new Fruityale Avenue bridge and
approaches thereto, as set out in the attached letter of the City Manager of the
City of Alameda, dated. April 6, 1958, is hereby approved in principle.
3E IT FT2LETEE. RESOLVED that the City. Kanag,er is hereby authorized to
further negotiate -and discuss With the pertinent parties the particular aspects
of the paid. plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the Cityof Alameda expressly
reserves the right to study and approve or disapprove any final plan concerning
this matter, whether by ordinance, resolution or motion.
