AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5472 RELATING TO PUBLIC OF
STREET METERED PARKING LOTS; ALLOWING ALI OR ANY OF
SUCH PARKING LOTS TO BE >17 E.T. THE GENERAL
PUBLIC WITHOUT METER CHARGE UPON PAYMENT TO THE CITY
OF A FLAT DAILY RATE COVERING ALL LOTS UTILIZED.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda, on November 7, 1956, duly
passed Resolution No 5472 relating to public off-street metered parking lots; and
WHEREAS, it is 117 o opinion o' the Council of the City of Alameda that
revenue from said off-street parking lots wild. be aided by establishing thereon a
system whereby a fiat daily rate may be charged for the use of any or all of such
parking lots; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the City of Alameda that
this action will be 1>' the best interest of the City of Alameda;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
Resolution No. 5472 of the City of Alameda is hereby amended by adding thereto a
new Section 7, which shall read as follows:
Section 7. The Council .of the City of Alameda may, upon due
application, and at Its discretion, perol the use of all or any
of watered off-streat public parking lots within the City of Ala-
meda by the general public upon a daily basis, withoJt meter
charge, upon payment to the City of Alameda, in advance, of an
amount equal to one hundred ten per cent (110%) of. the daily
average revenue recciveo from said public parking lots within the
preceding six. months period, as determined by the City 70na7er.
The City Council shall have the ri!nt to attach, any condition to
such permit that it deems to be in the best interest of the
City, and any permit granted under this section sha.1.1 not abroato
the rights of permit holders under. Sections 6 and. 7 of Resolution
No. 5472• Upon the pxanting of the permit mentioned in this sec-
tion, the City. Manager shall establish appropriate ruins and
regulations relating thereto.
