CONSENT
C SUBLEASE TO TODD SHIPYARDS'CORPORATION,
A. NEW. YORK COHN/PAT:ON, OF' REAL PROPEDTY HELB UNDER
LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY O ALAMEDA AND PIAAASON

WHEREAS, on the ist day of September, 1946, a lease of certain rea3 pro-
perty owned. by the 11 of Alaneda was entered into by. Dna between the City of
Alameda„as Lessor, and United Engineering Company (now Matsch Nmaigatlxv Company);
and
WHEREAS, said lease reqhires that the consent of tho Lessor be first had
and obtained prior to any subletting of said lease by tho Lhosee to mnother party;
and
WHEREAS, the City of AlamedA Las previously consented to such shbletting
up and until the 15th day of May, 1958; and
WHEREAS, the Matson Nagimation Company, a corporation, has requested. that
its right to sublet to Todd Shipyards Corporation be continuod until September 30,
1964; and
WHEREAS, it 13 in tba best intereats of the City of A:ameda that such con-
sent be given;
NW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that
said City of Alameda does hereby 1(1 01 to the sublease of that certain lease
dated September 1, 1946 by and bhtween the Oity. ov Alameda, a mighloiral corporation,
and j:ted Eng3nhering Company, a corporation (now Matson Namigatihn Company), to
the Todh Shipyards Corporation, a New YeTk corporation, op and until September 30,
1964,
az IT FARTHEE HESOLAED that the Mayor of the City of Alameda. be, and he
is hereby, authorized to execute, for and. on behalf of the City of Alampda, the
consent of the City of Alampda in and. to said sublease. The City Clerk of the City.
of Alameda is hereby directed to attest to same.
